Happy Friday 12/10/21
Happy Friday! How are you? Garrett and I spent much of the week on the east coast, first in New Jersey visiting family and then in Vermont. We came out with Belgard, the hardscapes sponsor for the 2022 HGTV Dream Home, and got to tour the modern mountain home. I’m sharing a few photos below, but the indoor/outdoor flow, primary bedroom, and outdoor spaces were my favorites. We also got to meet some really fun designers and DIYers and see/taste/enjoy a bit of bit Vermont in the winter!

Designer Brian Patrick Flynn shared a design rule with us last week that really stuck with me. When a lot of furnishings are coming from one source like a big box store, he follows a 90/10 rule to keep the interiors from looking like a showroom. 90% comes from the big box store and 10% is vintage. I love that! And in case you didn’t catch my stories, here were a few of my favorite moments from that house.
That’s it this week! Hope you have a good one :)
