Happy Friday 1/17/25
Happy Friday! Any fun plans for the long weekend? We’re taking the kids to Seattle for some family time and big-city fun. It’s been 8 years since we left the city for our small town and we still miss it. The energy, all the things to do, the food. Especially the food! Soaking it all in while for a couple days :) Wishing you a lovely, slow weekend!

Here are some links from the week…
Leaning into this London townhouse’s low kitchen ceilings and narrow rooms paid off (shown above). It’s such a chic home!
We’re still watching the devastating news out of LA and our hearts are with those who have lost their homes and those battling the fires, too. The New York Times put together a list of ways to help right here.
20 Life-changing movies to help you manifest your best year yet.
This week we shared the Poplar Cottage’s vintage-inspired, budget-friendly staircase. Hard to believe it hasn’t always been there!
Found! The cutest rug for the Poplar Cottage living room (and it’s on sale).
Nana made us these Nutella brownies as a fun surprise for us this week and wowie were they delicious! Might just be the best brownies I’ve ever had (and that’s saying something!).
Have you heard the news, red dye no. 3 is (finally) banned! Here’s a list of the food affected (conversation heart candies 😩).
Would you ever paint your kitchen yellow? I could definitely do mustard, and that beautiful muted hue in the last kitchen!
I’ll leave you with this lovely story: two senior friends traveled around the world in 80 days. Retirement goals!
Have a good one!
