Happy Friday 8/23/24

Happy Friday! Any exciting weekend plans? Garrett and I are going to see Nathaniel Rateliff at the Gorge (and Tyler Childers, too!) with some friends. It’s been ages since we had a date night and I can’t wait! Wishing you a lovely weekend.

Some fun links from the week…

The many lives of my Zillow alter ego. “Browsing homes allows me to explore these many versions of myself without giving my family whiplash. I can live a thousand lives, even as my real one stays rooted in one place.” Oooo I feel this deeply.

An 18th century home in London (shown above) full of all the character you’d expect. It’s just so charming!

I’ve been on a find-a-couple-good-pairs-of-jeans mission lately and would up trying these on at the Rack. Love them! (They have a really high rise so wouldn’t be good for anyone with a short torso!).

This feels on point for the onset of Fall: easy ways to get your life together.

Lily Collins home is not what I expected (I think it’s her Emily in Paris character that had me expecting detailed millwork and herringbone floors) but it’s so chic and bright.

This week we shared deck progress at the Poplar Cottage plus our plans for the front yard.

Surprising cause of back pain? It could be your hip flexors. Trying to integrate these exercises into my morning routine a few times a week.

Really into these budget grocery dinner series from Jenn! Seriously, I can’t stop watching.

Say goodbye to the kitchen island, and hello to the prep table. Thoughts? I’ve been thinking of doing this very thing for our new house mostly because of layout/size requirements, but I love the idea for any kitchen!

Raced through this audio book while deck building this week. I found it impossible to put down!

Have a beautiful Labor Day weekend
