A bit about filming…
We shot for 3 days in August. Garrett and I asked the kids if they wanted to be included in the episode and they all did. So they joined us for part of the third day.
We were in very capable hands of Blue Chalk Media production company (shout out to Chris, Jazzy, Jim, and Sean!) and they did a great job of going beyond just the cosmetic renovations and teased out how our family has connected with the house and the special things about it.
The week before we were scheduled to start filming we saw our new house pop up on the MLS. By the time the production company arrived to film, we were under contract on our new house and making plans to sell the Farmhouse.
They really dig into the history of the houses featured on the show and when I passed along all the old photos we have of the Farmhouse they said it was the most old photos they’ve seen for a house.
It was over 100-degrees when we shot our family in the garden and we were all sweating and laughing as we tried to eat warm hamburgers. Can’t wait to see how that translated on film!
Garrett and I haven’t seen the episode yet so we’ll be watching it along side you all.
