Happy Friday 3/21/25

Happy Friday! And happy Spring! This week I rewatched the Nancy Meyer's classic, It's Complicated. It's such a wonderful, beautifully-acted film, but of course it was the interiors that really captured my attention. Jane Adler’s home (played by Meryl Streep) is my favorite Nancy Meyer's house ever. The slightly-deconstructed kitchen. The clawfoot tub moment. The kinda-cluttered-but-in-a-cozy-way living room. And don't even get me started on the garden. Every detail is stunning! And I can't imagine any universe where Adler’s character would renovate that perfect kitchen. Ha! (psst: the interiors were actually filmed on a stage in Brooklyn, but we can still love them!) Wishing you a lovely Spring weekend!

Here are some links from the week…

Anyone headed somewhere fun for Spring Break? We’re going to Maui (!!!) and I’m taking note of this: Essentials to pack for every trip. VERY good list of extras!

I’m not usually a modern house kinda gal, but I’d live here in a heartbeat!

To make someone happy, ask for help. Loved this week’s article from Arthur C. Brooks!

In my late 30s, after having 3 babies, I decided that I’d never wear a 2 piece swimsuit again. But in my 40s, I wear whatever I want ;) Ordered this top and this bottom in red (this one is a great alternative with more coverage) and in my humble opinion it’s the best under-$50 swimsuit on the internet! psst: I like to pair it with these shorts or this shirt.

This week we did a little experiment to find out how accurate color matching paint really is. Find the results here!

Gardening is on my mind and the algorithm seems to know it ;) Just started following Kaleb Wyse, an Ohio farmer/gardener/cook/entertainer/decorator with the most STUNNING old farmhouse and I can’t get enough!

This is my magic salve. I use it for dry skin, sunburns, cracked feet, lips, and the kids everything - bought a small one to travel with.

Worn out by the rat race or politics or the weather or anything? Italian village offers $1 homes to Americans. Gosh wouldn’t that be fun?!

Just picked up this book for vacation. Can’t wait to dive in!

Have a good one!
