Happy Friday 2/28/25

Happy Friday! How was your week? We’ve been tackling the Poplar Cottage punch list and nursing sick kids and we’re all looking forward to Friday family movie night. And pizza. And these brownie mix cookies (best hack ever?!). Hope you have a lovely weekend!

Here are some links from the week…

Wow this writer’s cottage by Stephanie Sabbe (shown above) is such a uniquely beautiful mix of log cabin and cozy cottage vibes.

Care to guess what real estate search term has seen 35% year-over-year growth? Okay, I’ll tell you! The word, cozy. Turns out that small space living is becoming more desirable. “The term 'cozy' is no longer a negative real estate euphemism—it’s a sought-after design trait. 6 Things ER Doctors wish you’d avoid. This definitely has me rethinking avocados.

My best self does one of these short yoga videos at bedtime (sometimes with the kids!). Never regret it when I make it happen ;)

Speaking of nighttime… How do you sleep? IKEA did a giant study asking just that and the results are fascinating (here are the highlights). They have great tips for better sleep, like this one: “build a sleep sanctuary - create a clutter-free, cozy space with comfortable bedding and dim lighting.” Also, not exactly news, but screens are bad for our sleep.

Have a good one!
