Help Us Pick a Vanity Light for the Upstairs Bathroom!
THE POPLAR COTTAGE
We’re working our way through the punch list at the Poplar Cottage (it’s very large ;) and finding a vanity light is high up there. Because this fixture is holding us up from closing the electrical permit. It is high time for me to finally make up my mind and get a light installed in here. Help me decide? The 8 (errr 10!) vanity lights we’re considering are below…

A couple things to know…
dimensions
It’s a little hard to photograph this space - this bathroom is 6’ long by 7’ wide and that’s a 36” vanity. The ceilings above the vanity slope from 92” to 99”.
Mirror
I bought this brass mirror forever ago now and am obsessed with the heft of it (especially for the price!). Our’s is 24” x 36”. I’m planning to use it, though not married to it if it doesn’t work with the light fixture finish.
Lighting
This is the only light fixture in this room. We had originally planned for an overhead in the shower but in our excitement to tile, we totally forgot. Ha! So ideally the vanity light we choose will have plenty of light. If not, we do have the ability to add another wall sconce by the toilet.
Finishes
We have a brushed brass faucet and a brushed brass mirror (if we use it). Ideally I’d match the light and faucet and do a different fixture on the mirror, but I’m open.

If money were no object, I’d pick number 8, but this is going to be a rental so a splurge option makes more sense…probably.
