Happy Friday 10/9/20

Happy Friday! How was your week? We had the best fall weather this week and took full advantage with a trip to Mount St. Helens. Brooks, our middle child, requested a trip to the volcano for his 5th birthday after watching a documentary on it. I was tickled by his request and all too happy to oblige. It’s well worth a visit if you’re able!

Also of note, our chickens started laying (two are laying in the garden under a tomato plant but the rest are laying in the coop), our fall kale starts are growing, and our Dahlias just won’t quit (see pic below). Wishing you a good weekend!

More from the week…

Parenting was never meant to be this isolating. “What this criticism fails to grasp is that throughout basically all of human history, parents have never, ever raised children in isolated nuclear units the way they have been doing for much of 2020, with little to no hands-on family or community support.” (nytimes)
