Happy Friday 12/20/19

Happy Friday! Our holiday break starts today and I am SO excited! On the agenda: games, movies, playing in the snow, baking, napping, and baking (did I mention that?). It’s going to be good.

We didn’t get holiday cards out this year (oops 🙃) so I wanted to take a minute and wish each and every one of you the happiest of holidays. Whether you’re an old friend, a family member, or someone we’ve never met, from our family to your’s, Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

More from the week…

How to reset your life. This is definitely worth a read for anyone thinking about making a big change of any kind in 2020. (becomingminimalist)

A beautiful cozy cottage. Those kitchen floors are bonkers! (sfgirlbybay)

I’m dying to see more of this kitchen. Swoon! (@heidicailierdesign)

The false promise of morning routines. Eek I’m the kind of morning person that loves to get up and go for a run, but kids have totally thrown that out the window (they’re totally worth it though 😉). (theatlantic)

This holiday poem made me smile. (@cupofjo)

A beautiful holiday home tour from one of my favorites, Erin Francois. (francoisetmoi)

The miseducation of the American Boy. This was the most popular article on the Atlantic this week and thank goodness it was. It’s a heavy piece, and one that scares the heck out of me as a mother. But it’s definitely worth reading. (theatlantic)

10 things to do with scrap greenery. I’m going to have to try the chandelier idea next year! (thegoldhive)

We’ll be wrapping up the top 10 posts of 2019 next week (I love, love, love compiling this post every year!) and I thought it would be fun to look back to at your favorites from 2018. Like oh my goodness we did a lot of remodels, our last baby’s nursery (😢), sold a house, and had our HGTV pilot air. Can’t wait to see what’s on this year’s list.

And if you’re looking for some different holiday tunes, check out our holiday Spotify playlist. It’s a fun one!

Have a great holiday! We’ll be back next week after Christmas.

xoxo
