Happy Friday 9/25/20
Happy Friday! Eek! I can’t quite believe it’s fall, but there’s definitely a crisp edge to the air and our leaves are changing colors. The kids even asked me to turn on the heat this week, which of course I couldn’t do, because my dad taught me the value of wool socks and sweatshirts in an old house 😉 But goodness, I sure do love this time of year and am eagerly getting the house cleaned and ready for spending more time indoors.

I am not a housewife. I am a Prepper. I found this really interesting and strangely comforting. “At some point it occurred to me that I might be going about this homemaker thing all wrong. Maybe instead of thinking of my new role as housewife, I should have been thinking of myself as a prepper. And instead of embracing my inner Mad Max, I could channel my own mother and grandmother, and a bit of Survival Mom — to be a nurturing, resourceful and resilient homemaker ready for anything. “ (nytimes)
