Budget Brass Sconce Roundup (Under $100!)
THE FARMHOUSE
About 6 months ago I scooped up two of these budget-friendly sconces for the Poplar Cottage after seeing them in one of Whitney’s renovations. They still haven’t made it into the Poplar Cottage (an update for another day), so we hung them next to the guest bed at the Farmhouse instead.
wall color, block print quilt + shams, linen duvet (in Parchment), wool blanket, sheets
We hardwired these sconces. Thankfully Garrett’s dad is a retired electrician and he and Garrett wired them in pretty quickly. We wired them to a switch at the door, so as long as that switch is on, you control the sconces with the switch on each light fixture. It should be a nice upgrade for our guests!
We’ve been asked for more budget-friendly lighting options, so I wanted to share a few of my favorites in a roundup. All of these brass sconces are under $100 (!!) and would look lovely next to a bed, in a bathroom, living room, or anywhere else you can dream up.
1 Brass shade sconce, $99
2 Pleated ceramic sconce, $69
3 Gold wall sconce, $44
4 Pill-shaped sconce, $79
5 Retro globe sconce, $100
6 Contemporary curved sconce, $84
7 Adjustable arm sconce with shade, $98
8 Classic sconce (damp rated), $80
9 Swing arm sconces, pair, $99
10 Mid-century golden globe, pair, $109
11 Plated brass plugin sconces with fabric shades, pair, $149
Most of those sconces are hardwire. But if you’re opting for plug-in fixtures, highly recommend dressing it up with cloth-covered cord or buying cord cover.
Here’s the same fixture on the other side of the bed. The wall color sure is a chameleon, isn’t it?!
