Happy Friday 5/1/20
Happy Friday! How are you? I’m feeling pretty excited for May! April was kind of tough on the world and I think we’re all ready to flip that calendar. Good things lately: finding more daffodils in our yard, feeling a sweetness in this slower pace, time in the garden (here’s what it looks like right now), regular card game nights with family over FaceTime, and the ever-present anticipation of pizza night (tonight!)! Hope you are hanging in there and taking what you can from this time.
More from this week…

I loved this article so much: for Leanne Ford, the Pandemic gave ‘forever home’ new meaning. Make sure to check out the home tour and Leanne’s words. “Erik and I got to thinking: What if this new way of life became our new way of life? What if we traveled less and saw more? What if we had Sunday night family dinner, drove our old, beat-up car around country roads, and joined the Y…“. (domino)
I don’t want to be a fun mom. Relatable at times… (newyorktimes)
A lot to live up to here: the 20 greatest recipes of all time, according to Jenny Rosenstrach. Included on the list are these yeasted waffles which I’ve been keen to try! (cupofjo)
Loved this charming 1915 Seattle home tour. Whoever said ‘bigger is better’ didn’t see this 1200sf gem!
Jersey Ice Cream Co, a longtime favorite design/renovation duo, is now offering design assistance. Wowza jump in there if you’re in need of help! I’m on the waitlist for their plaster 101 course. (jerseyicecreamco)
What do famous people’s bookshelves reveal? Kinda fun to peek into other people’s bookshelves. (newyorktimes)
Eight fresh colors to paint your front door. I’m thinking about you, chicken coop! (southern living)
What a fun kids activity for a rainy Spring day inside. (francoisetmoi)
