Solving the Clutter in Daphne's Bedroom
THE FARMHOUSE
We recently swapped out Daphne’s nightstands for dressers with storage and haven’t looked back. Our gal is a bit of a collector (isn’t everyone?!) and the open bedside table we had in here invited clutter. So I looked for a pair of dressers to collect Daphne’s treasures and tame the mess…

Visual clutter is like kryptonite to me and this messy situation distracted from bedtime stories and snuggles. So when eBay wanted to work with us on on interior furniture, I looked at hundreds of dressers until I found these. I’m pretty smitten with these rattan and wood dressers. Their oversized handles scream dollhouse to me and the pink tones go perfectly in Daphne’s room. Of course, my favorite thing about these new dresser/nightstands is that all her books, stuffies, costumes, and treasures are now neatly tucked away.
dressers in all price ranges
These dressers were pretty expensive so I wanted to share a few other options in other price ranges that would have worked great in Daphne’s room or anywhere, really…
walnut nightstand ($326 on sale!) + ceramic table lamp ($123 on sale!) + bottle brush trees ($20)
three drawer dresser ($599 on sale!) + ceramic lamp ($57 on sale!) + Palms coffee table book ($56) + marble dish ($25)
white nightstand ($189 on sale!) + farmhouse table lamp ($45 on sale!) + striped basket ($45)
blue three drawer nightstand ($200) + speckled ceramic lamp ($75 on sale!) + brass bell ($15)
gray bamboo detail nightstand ($489 on sale!) + ceramic & rattan lamp ($60) + Jane Austin book set ($84)
natural nightstand ($500) + brass orb lamp ($68 on sale!) + rosemary potted plant ($15)
‘before’
As a refresher, here’s what what Daphne’s open bedside table looked like mess-wise without storage…
I think I can safely say we are all much happier with the added storage!

This room has been a slow work in progress decorating wise but I love how it’s grown with Daphne. I’m still planning to find a pair of lamps (the kids broke the pair to the one in the photos) and sew some pleated fabric lamp shades for her, but all in good time. For now, here are most of the current sources and inspo for Daphne’s room…
Rug, dresser, sheets, pleated lamp, doll, throw pillows (one, two, and three), overhead light fixture, bandit art print, wallpaper (similar), curtain hardware, bed frame is vintage (similar options here & here).
